COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The future of area non-motorized facilities such as shared use paths, bike lanes and paved shoulders will be discussed in Coldwater next Thursday night as the Southwest Michigan Planning Commission and the Branch County Conservation District will host a Branch County Non-Motorized Summit.
The two hour summit, which is free and open to the public, will start at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Coldwater City Hall.
Organizers say there will be a brief presentation on non-motorized facilities in Branch County and then a work session to gather input on desired facilities and priorities to help develop a vision.
The summit is being funded by the Michigan Department of Transportation and is part of a larger effort to update the Southwest Michigan Non-Motorized Plan and Bicycling Guide for seven counties in southwest Michigan.
