FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A Fremont, Indiana man was injured Wednesday night in a motorcycle accident just south of Branch County near Lake George.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year-old Jeffrey Bauhof was on County Road 150 West just before 10:15 p.m. when his 2006 Harley Davidson went out of control and crashed.
Emergency response units found Bauhof laying on the side of the road. He was air lifted by Samaritan Air to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne for treatment.
Deputies say Bauhof was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident which is still under investigation.
Steuben County EMS and Fremont Fire Rescue assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
