COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As water main work continues on the South Jefferson Street reconstruction project, Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that they continue to get reports of curious children getting too close to the work zone and construction equipment.
He and other city officials are asking the public to help keep everyone safe in the work area.
In addition, Baker says there have been reports of vehicles not abiding by the traffic control devices and travelling through the work zone.
Not only can that be dangerous for workers, vehicles can also be damaged.
Drivers who do this face the possibility of getting a ticket if they are not residents of the area.
