COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Circuit Court trial of a Bronson man which was scheduled to start next Tuesday is now off the docket as the defendant has entered a plea in the case.
A court spokesperson says 27-year-old Richard John Terlizzi entered a no contest plea Thursday to second degree child abuse. The felony carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.
Terlizzi was originally charged with third degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with an incident in August 2018 in Girard Township involving a 13-year old girl.
He is now scheduled to be sentenced on July 15, 2019.
Terlizzi was arrested last December following a Michigan State Police investigation.
