STROH, IN (WTVB) – A three year old boy drowned Monday afternoon near Stroh, Indiana in Steuben County’s Lake Arrowhead.
Steuben County Deputy Coroner Rodney Snyder told the Herald-Republican that Jackson Harrell, who was a resident of the lake, died of an accidental drowning.
The youngster’s death is being investigated by the Indiana State Police and Indiana Conservation Officers.
A preliminary investigation by Indiana State Police Detective David Poe indicates the child was found in the water at about 2:30 p.m..
The Indiana State Police and Steuben County Sheriff Deputies responded to the report.
The child was unresponsive when emergency personal arrived.
Immediate life-saving measures were attempted until medical personnel arrived but the child was later pronounced dead by the Steuben County Coroner’s Office.
