Charlotte Cecilia Carolina (Colpetsir) Deal, 78, of Coldwater, passed away at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Char was born on June 28, 1942 to Lloyd and Cecilia (Smoker) Colpetsir in Coldwater. She graduated from Bronson High School with the Class of 1961. On July 9, 1966 she wed Robert “Bob” Deal and they were married for 34 years. Although the marriage ended in divorce, they remained close. Char worked at Quality Springs in Coldwater for 26 years and Tekonsha Engineering for 8 years before retiring.
She enjoyed her family the most, all of her friends, attending auctions and going out to eat each month with the “crazy” group. Char never met a stranger.
Surviving are her children, Michael (La Vonda) Deal of Homer, Tina (Jeff) Hess of Quincy and Sheena (Brad) Hewlett of Coldwater; brother, Ronald (Wanda) Colpetsir of Bronson; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; former husband, Bob Deal of Quincy; and her grand-dogs, JJ and Jazz.
Char was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
