KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – The season ended for Quincy’ High School girls soccer team Wednesday night as they were beaten by Schoolcraft 10-7 in the Michigan High Schiool Athletic Association Division Four District semifinals at Kalamazoo Christian.
Unofficially, there were 76 shots on goal in the wide open match with Quincy holding a 41-35 edge.
The game was tied 4-4 at the half and 7-7 at the end of regulation. Schoolcraft scored three goals in extra time. Schoolcraft freshman Hannah Thompson scored seven goals for the Eagles.
Emily Hollenbaugh had four goals for Quincy while Katie Rathbun scored twice. Maddie Hinds scored the other goal for the Orioles. Quincy goalkeeper Mariah Wiley made 13 saves.
The Orioles finished the season with 8-9-1 record.
