COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Council members voted Tuesday night to have all of their future city business conducted through official coldwater.org email accounts.
The Council’s action after some members asked the city’s Information Technology Department to provide them with an official city email address.
City Information Technology Director Patrick Pool said the e-mail policy would also make things easier for the public since they would not have to look up a name. The e-mail address would have the first initial and last name of the Council member.
City Manager Keith Baker feels the benefits include a more “professional” appearance and a separation for council members concerning their own correspondence and correspondence for the city.
