COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The severe storm that knocked down numerous trees in Coldwater last Thursday morning has resulted in a significant amount of brush. City Manager Keith Baker said during Tuesday night’s Coldwater City Council meeting that crews will start picking up the brush next week.
He is asking residents to put their brush out this week and Baker says it will be a quite an effort to remove it just like at the beginning of spring.
The severe thunderstorm that featured heavy rain and high wind gusts of between 60 to 80 miles an hour caused what City of Coldwater officials called the worst thunderstorm damage ever experienced by the city.
Downed trees, limbs and poles knocked out the power for nearly 1,800 Coldwater Board of Public Utilities customers.
