COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The details of Union City’s departure from the Michigan South Central Power Agency continue to be worked out but it looks like the M.S.C.P.A. board is getting close to a final agreement.
Several options have been explored by the agency board in recent months and they went over a cost analysis allocation spreadsheet for Union City’s departure during Thursday’s monthly meeting.
Coldwater B.P.U. Director Jeff Budd felt when the final vote takes place, it should be unanimous.
After further discussion and some thoughts on how to proceed, AMP General Manager Pam Sullivan suggested the following motion.
Kevin Cornish from Clinton agreed with Sullivan and made the motion. Hillsdale’s David Mackie supported it and the motion passed 5-0.
Union City is hoping to leave the agency by June 30.
