BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Two new principals were hired by the Bronson School Board of Education Monday night.
Kate Wall was hired to become the new principal at Anderson Elementary. She is currently the principal at the K through 5 school in Mendon. Before she served as a teacher at Anderson for nine years. Wall will take over for Kerri Jent who resigned effective June 30, 2019 after two years with the Bronson School District.
Meanwhile, Ed Dickenson was hired Monday as the new principal at Ryan Elementary. He has worked in the Kalamazoo Public School district and has nearly two decades of educational experience.
Dickenson will take over for Mark Heifner who is retiring after nearly four decades in public education. Heifner has worked in the Bronson School District since 2002 first as the principal at Chicago Street School before becoming the principal at Ryan Elementary.
In addition, the Bronson School Board approved the hiring of Haley Houtz to the newly created position of Junior/Senior High School Counselor.
