COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school soccer, Coldwater closed the Interstate 8 Conference regular season with a 4-0 loss at home to Harper Creek Wednesday on Senior Night. The Beavers scored twice in each half to get the win and finish third in the conference.
Coldwater dropped to 1-5-1 in the conference to finish seventh. They will play at Jackson Northwest Friday in the first round of the Interstate 8 Conference Silver Division tournament.
Emily Fagen made two saves in goal and Amber Sunderland made three.
The Coldwater junior varsity team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie Harper Creek 2-2. Ezma Machan scored both goals for the Cardinals.
A rough night for Quincy’s girls soccer team, as the Orioles lost at Hanover-Horton 8-1 Wednesday. Katie Rathbun scored the only goal for Quincy.
