Ronald Eugene Keller, 85, of Union City, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery in Union City. Arrangements are being handled by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Ron was born April 25, 1935 in Sherwood Township, Michigan to Clifford and Helen (Kamps) Keller. He graduated from Union City High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Knox, KY. On May 29, 1956 Ron married the former Patricia Ann Smith at the First Congregational Church in Union City.
He worked at the Federal Center in Battle Creek as a computer systems analyst, retiring in 1990 after 32 years of service. Ron was a member of the First Congregational UCC in Union City, a member of the Sherwood Masonic Lodge #421 and a member of the Tekonsha – Rebecca OES #324.
Survivors include Ron’s children, Deborah (Ronnie) McDowell of Union City, Suzette (Mark) Michael of Union City and Steven (Mary) Keller of Burlington; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald (Brenda) Keller of Union City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia (2017) and his sisters, Janet Guadagno (2000) and Arlene Smyth (2020).
