COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A driver who was talking on their cell phone was cited for failure to yield by the Michigan State Police following a two vehicle crash late Monday afternoon on U.S. 12 west of Coldwater.
State Police say the accident was reported at about 5:10 p.m. as the at fault vehicle was trying to make a left turn onto Rohloff Drive.
A two-year-old child was transported from the scene by Life Care Ambulance.
Three other adults who were in the two vehicles were checked out at the scene but were not transported.
Both vehicles sustained a large amount of front end damage.
The accident shut down a portion of U.S. 12 just east of the Branch County Memorial Airport as it was investigated and the vehicles cleared from the scene.
