LESLIE, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school baseball, Coldwater lost to Jackson Northwest 4-2 in the finals of the Leslie Invitational Saturday. The Cardinals advanced with a 4-3 win over Bronson. Breydyn Cook had two hits including the game-winning hit in the seventh inning. Brady McFarland also had two hits. Brett Sikorski drove in two runs for the Vikings.
Bronson won the consolation game over Leslie 6-5. Gavin Preston drove in four runs while he and Ryan Wisman both had two hits. Dylan Smith was the winning pitcher.
Union City lost to Parchment 2-0 as they were held to one hit but came back to beat Gobles 10-2 in the consolation game at the Gobles Invitational. Kyle Johnson had four RBI’s against Gobles. Johnson and Larson Kever both had two hits. Tate Herman was the winning pitcher.
Quincy won their Invitational tournament as they defeated Adrian Madison 10-0 and Kalamazoo Christian 8-4. Matt Hagaman was the winning pitcher in both games. He struck out six over four innings of work against. Hagaman also had two RBI’s. Andrew Albright and Logan Banks both had three hits. Chandler Locke had three hits against Kalamazoo Christian. Caleb McCavit and Locke both had two RBI’s.
