BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson High School baseball team is still unbeaten and in first place in the Big 8 Conference after they swept Jonesville Wednesday by scores of 3-2 and 9-3.
Brett Sikorski and Blaine Robinson both had two hits in the first game. Sikorski struck out eight in four innings to get the first game victory on the mound.
Bronson scored seven runs in the third inning of the second game. Gavin Preston and Ryan Wisman both had two hits while Hudson Wotta drove in two runs. Kameron Haviland was the winning pitcher.
The Vikings are now 13-7 overall.
In softball, a no-hitter by Lynsey Smith in the first game highlighted Bronson’s sweep of Jonesville by scores of 8-0 and 6-3. Smith struck out 10 and helped her cause with a homer and three RBI’s. Dekoda Kline also had three hits for the Vikings.
Dakota Smith homered in the second game for Bronson.
