UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Fourth grade students at Union City Elementary School got an important message from Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton and Undersheriff Tim Hurtt Tuesday.
They presented a program entitled, “Be the Best You Can Be”.
Saxton and Hurtt emphasized the importance of a high school education, and that the ability to speak, rationalize and communicate with other is our most valuable tool.
Students took the Junior Deputy Oath and were given donated books to take home which support making safe and healthy decisions.
