COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Firefighters from three departments had to battle a structure fire in Ovid Township for nearly three hours Sunday afternoon.
The fire at 301 South Centennial which is near Central Road was reported at 1:20 p.m..
Lakeland was the first department on the scene. They got mutual aid from the Bronson and Coldwater fire departments in the form of manpower and tankers.
Crews cleared the scene just before 5:00 p.m.. No further details on the fire have been made available by the Lakeland Fire Department.
Coldwater firefighters were called to 728 North Union City Road at about midnight Friday for what turned out to be a controlled burn of a barn that was torn down. Quincy firefighters were later dispatched for mutual aid.
Coldwater crews were called back Saturday morning just after 8:00 a.m. when the fire rekindled.
