ALBION, MI (WTVB) – A second member of the Albion City Council is facing recall.
The Calhoun County Elections Commission has approved the language on petitions demanding the recall of Albion City Council Member Jeanette Spicer.
Local resident Daniel Farmer filed the petition after he claims Spicer failed to serve her constituents when she did not respond to three phone messages he left her over 40 days.
Spicer has ten days to appeal. If the recall goes forward, Farmer will need to collect 139 signatures to force a November 2019 recall election.
Mayor Pro Tem Sonya Brown is facing recall for allegedly sending a message to their former City Manager demanding she remove Scott Kipp as Police Chief. Brown is challenging the petition in court.
