COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists has awarded accreditation to the ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital Laboratory, based on results of a recent on-site inspection as part of the CAP Accreditation Program.
The ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital Laboratory is one of the more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide.
Hospital President Randy DeGroot says “the laboratory staff has worked hard for this achievement. With our focus continuously on patient safety and well-being, this accreditation reaffirms our efforts and is a credit to our team.”
During the accreditation process, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. They also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record as well as overall management.
