HASTINGS, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school soccer, Coldwater opened the Interstate 8 Conference portion of their season with a 1-0 win at Hastings Tuesday.
Despite the scoreline, the Lady Cards dominated the game offensively, outshooting Hastings 19-4. Allison Miller scored her first career goal with 28:02 to play in the first half, assisted by fellow freshman Masyn Marsh.
Emily Fagen made three saves in goal, as Coldwater improved to 1-0 in the Interstate 8 Conference and 2-2-1 overall. They will host Marshall in conference play Thursday.
The Coldwater junior varsity team fell to Hastings 3-1. Jenni Hernandez scored their lone goal.
