COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – City of Coldwater Police say a dispute between a couple of out of town truck drivers Wednesday led to one of the drivers getting pepper sprayed in the face.
Police were called to the Wendy’s restaurant in the 500 block of East Chicago at about 12:25 p.m. where they found a semi parked in the road and the driver who was pepper sprayed in a restaurant restroom.
The dispute apparently started after the driver who was pepper sprayed had one of the windows struck on his semi.
Things boiled over to the point where the driver who used the pepper spray told police he was acting in self defense because he thought he was going to be assaulted.
No arrests were made but police turned in their report to the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office, where they will determine if any charges will be filed.
