Tianna Joan (Tucker) Wallen, 38, of Union City, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
A memorial celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Wallen Pond, 1287 Railroad Road in Union City, with a gathering of family and friends to follow.
Tianna was born April 8, 1983 in Coldwater, Michigan to Tim and Tonya (Butler) Tucker. She grew up in Branch County, where she attended Quincy Community Schools. On September 3, 2005, Tianna married Lewis Wallen at the First Congregational Church in Union City.
She worked with him in the family farming operation and was CEO of Wallen Sweet Corn, founded in 2012. She had also been employed in home health care.
Tianna was a force of nature who loved her family fiercely. She grew up belonging to the Up and At ‘Em 4-H Club and whole-heartedly supported her children’s 4-H and sports participation. She enjoyed traveling, hunting, good food, photography, dancing, cooking, living life fully and then some! Tianna belonged to the Sherwood Order of the Eastern Star, Bunco Babes and loved taking classes at Studio La Femme TM in Coldwater.
She is survived by her husband, Lewie; her children, Bracy Swift, Emily “Dylann” Swift and Ross Wallen, all of Union City; her parents, Tim and Tonya Tucker of Coldwater and Jim and Barb Wallen of Union City; her siblings, Frank Butler of Coldwater, Emily Tucker of Coldwater, Sarah (Dave) Connelly of Battle Creek, TJ (Veronica) Wallen and Steve (Carolyn) Wallen, of Union City; grandmother, Renita Wallen of Union City; many nieces and nephews, with a special place for Bert Landers; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and community members.
Tianna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elwanda and Floyd Tucker, Jr. and George and Joan Butler; and a brother, Albert Landers.
Memorial donations may be directed to Barb Wallen for the care of Tianna’s children.
