COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Road Commission has a new Engineer and Manager.
Road Commission Board Chair Bob Mayer confirmed on Wednesday that Jay Miller has accepted the job offer after being selected by the board last week and will begin his new duties next Monday.
Miller had been working for the Steuben County Planning Commission office.
He will take over for Trent Arver who left the Road Commission in order to work in his family farming business.
Arver let the Road Commission Board know of his intentions last October and was planning to leave in January.
But the search for his replacement for one reason or another took longer than expected. The original application deadline was November 30, 2018.
