COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three members of the Pansophia Academy Board of Directors who resigned recently told WWMT-TV in Kalamazoo in a report aired Tuesday night they were unhappy with the way the school handled allegations that two teachers cursed and directed foul language at students.
Ted Short, Josh Neusbam and Letha Vanblarcom all stepped down over the controversy.
They were apparently unhappy about the results of an internal investigation into the incidents. Short told WWMT that bullying was running rampant at Pansophia.
Vanblarcom left after being the board secretary for over a decade.
CS Partners and MEP Services out of Brighton is the Management Company for Pansophia Academy.
They said in a written statement to WWMT that “CS Partners takes reports of inappropriate conduct seriously and we thoroughly investigate all reports in accordance with our policies and procedures and all applicable laws. We conducted detailed investigations and disciplinary action was taken, including personnel changes. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of conduct for our staff, students and families and are dedicated to working with the academy to ensure that their upward academic trend and family satisfaction at the school continues.”
