COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While the official groundbreaking is set for later this month, crews have begun clearing out the old Little League complex on Western Avenue to make room for the Coldwater Community Schools new fourth and fifth grade elementary building.
Tower Pinkster is serving as the architect for the project, while Owen-Ames-Kimball Company is serving as the construction manager.
The new fourth and fifth grade building will replace Lakeland Elementary and it’s being built following the approval of a millage and bonding issue in November 2017 by district voters.
The district will also use the funds from the millage for infrastructure needs in the district and for the purchase of new buses.
The formal groundbreaking ceremony for the new building will take place Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
