QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Community Schools is among a number of school districts in Michigan which will be getting a share of a $25-million fund to make security upgrades.
The Michigan State Police says the money comes from the 2019 School Safety Grant Program.
They received 360 applications for $21 million more than they have to spend.
The Quincy School District will get a grant of over $71,000. No local match is required.
Grants range from a few thousand to a few hundred thousand, depending on the size of the district and the need.
