BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A pickup truck that was reported stolen in Bronson, Michigan was found Thursday night in northeast Indiana, but not before three Indiana residents led police on a chase in which speeds reached as high as 100 miles an hour.
WANE-TV in Fort Wayne reports the Green GMC Sierra was spotted in Wolcottville, Indiana but the driver refused to pull over.
The chase went through Noble and LaGrange Counties. The stolen vehicle then got stuck in a field. The three suspects between the ages of 18 and 27 tried to make a run for it and police had to use a drone to find them in some nearby woods.
The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department says marijuana and methamphetamine were found in the vehicle.
The three suspects, two men and a woman, were booked into the LaGrange County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges maybe filed.
