OTSEGO, MI (WTVB) – – In girls high school soccer, Coldwater suffered its first loss of the season Wednesday night as they lost at Otsego 3-0. Otsego led 2-0 at the half, and scored their final goal with 23 minutes to play in the game.
Emily Fagen made 12 saves in goal.
Coldwater is now 1-1-1 on the season, and returns to play after Spring Break, hosting Quincy for the Battle of the Birds April 11.
The Coldwater junior varsity team opened their season by losing 8-0 at Otsego.
Quincy scored four goals in the first 16 minutes and went on to the defeat Onsted 7-1 as the Orioles got their first win of the young season. Madison Hinds scored four goals for the Orioles. Haley Hinds, Emily Hollenbaugh and Katie Rathbun also scored for Quincy as they Orioles enjoyed a 23-3 edge in shots.
Tori Swift was in goal for Quincy and made two saves.
