COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Bronson man was formally charged with four felonies on Monday in Branch County District Court after he was arrested over the weekend.
21-year-old Adrian Ruben Santodomingo has been charged with third degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with an alleged incident with a 14-year-old girl in June of last year.
Following a Michigan State Police investigation, a warrant was issued for Santodomingo’s arrest.
He is also facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and two counts of assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer in connection to what happened last Saturday when he was taken into custody in Bronson.
The State Police stopped a van that Santodomingo was a passenger in for defective equipment.
According to court documents, Santodomingo yelled and refused to come out of the van when the troopers informed him of the warrant. Documents indicate he had to be physically removed from the van by a pair of Troopers.
Authorities add one of the Troopers later found a small glass pipe that contained a black and white residue that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
Bond during his arraignment was set at $100,000. A probable cause hearing was scheduled for April 22 with a preliminary exam set for April 27.
