BATAVIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a rollover accident that injured a teenage girl from Fremont, Indiana in Batavia Township on Saturday morning.
The accident was reported at about 8:50 a.m. on Hodunk Road north of Miller Lake Road.
Undersheriff Keith Eichler says the 16-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle.
She was alert and conscious and was able to provide medical information for treatment. The Air Care Helicopter was initially requested but was later waived off.
The girl’s name was not released. The teenager was taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo by Life Care Ambulance for treatment of numerous injuries.
The Sheriff’s Department also got assistance from the Bronson Fire Department and the Michigan State Police.
