COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Caywood Propane Gas of Coldwater has bought the southern part of the Wilber’s Furniture building at 8 South Monroe Street.
In the course of getting ready to buy the property, Chris Caywood from Caywood Propane got a survey which showed the city’s right of way may extend two to four feet inside the buildings on the west side of South Monroe.
Caywood was seeking an easement from the City for the existing front of the building his company wants to buy and renovate.
Before an easement agreement was formally approved by the City Council on Monday night, City Attorney Megan Angell responded to a question from Council Member John Petzko wondered if this would apply to the whole street.
Caywood Propane delivers propane and propane services throughout most of southern Michigan and northern Ohio. They have been serving customers for over 75 years.
