STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – A South Bend, Indiana woman is lodged on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges in the St. Joseph County Jail after the Michigan State Police say she was arrested Saturday night for being intoxicated while driving a stolen vehicle.
She was arrested at U.S. 12 and South Centreville Road after 911 had gotten a call from another driver who reported the suspect’s vehicle was driving erratically.
The 42-year-old driver was arrested for second offense OWI and operating without a valid driver’s license as it is currently suspended according to the State Police.
The gray 2017 Chevy Sonic that she was driving had been reported stolen from South Bend last Friday.
Her name will be withheld until her arraignment.
