COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Historic District Commission approved the removal of an awning on Wednesday night from the building the City of Coldwater owns at 71 and 73 West Chicago.
The Clark and J.W. Sweet building was donated to the city by the Kerr family. It used to be the home of Ba Ba Black Sheep and Emmy’s Salon but is currently vacant.
City Planner Dean Walreck said the city is working with local architect Scott Morrison on façade and floor planning concepts.
Walrack said in his report that the city is working on hazardous material abatement and is preparing the building’s interior to be built out for an undetermined future use.
