GIRARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A fire which broke out during a chaotic Monday morning for police and fire agencies destroyed a structure just south of the Branch-Calhoun County line which stored a 1956 Ford Fairlane automobile.
The blaze at 1193 Marshall Road just south of Herricksville Road was reported at 10:27 a.m..
Smoke was visible as Coldwater firefighters raced to the scene. It only took about 10 minutes to put out the fire but the classic automobile was lost in the flames.
No injuries were reported.
As of midday, the cause of the fire as well as a dollar estimate on the damage were not known.
