BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek firefighters returned to 203 Post Avenue twice on Tuesday morning to put out fires that just like other fires before were considered suspicious for arson.
Crews were first dispatched at 2:41 a.m. for a fire on the outside of the structure which was called under control within minutes.
Battle Creek firefighters were sent back to the structure 15 minutes after clearing the first fire at 3:56 a.m. for another exterior fire in a different part of the structure.
The small fire was put out quickly. No injuries were reported in the two fires.
The home is connected to a double murder case in October of 2020. Some neighborhood residents torn down because of the fires and its ties to the murder case.
Police ask anyone with information about any of these fires to contact police at 269-781-0911 or Silent Observer.
