COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Schools across Branch County closed for a second straight day on Tuesday because of the bad weather and travel conditions.
School officials in Coldwater, Bronson, the Branch ISD and Quincy have already decided to keep their districts shut down for Wednesday as temperatures are expected to be close to all time record lows and wind chills are expected to be near 45 degrees below zero.
St Charles Borromeo Catholic School and Pansophia Academy in Coldwater are shut down through Thursday.
With classes called off in Coldwater for Wednesday, that means the district has used up its six cancellation days. Any more time off will have to be made up or the district faces the loss of state funds.
