BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Battle Creek Police have offically released the names of the young couple from Branch County who were found dead of an apparent carbon monoxide poisoning Wednesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as 20 year old Brandon L. Bull of Bronson and 19 year old Cylie J. Canniff of Coldwater.
Their five month old son survived. He is still in a Kalamazoo area hospital but is expected to survive. His name is not being released by Battle Creek Police.
Detective Sergeant Todd Elliot says they are working with the medical examiner’s office to finalize their reports and with Child Protective Services for the placement of the baby.
Police say they had been using a gas-powered generate to operate a kerosene heater in a house on Capital Avenue Southwest that was being remodeled. Elliot says Bull was assisting a contractor with the remodeling project. A man who was working on the home found the couple and their child on Wednesday morning.
