BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Police Department say they are investigating the beating and robbery of a 51-year-old man late last Wednesday night in the 300 block of South Ruggles Street in Bronson.
Police Chief Stephen Johnson says the man was trying to get into his apartment at about 11:45 p.m. after walking home from work when he was attacked by three persons identified as two white females and a black male who were in a four door sedan.
Johnson says the suspects grabbed and beat the victim before stealing his wallet. They then got back in their vehicle and headed north towards U.S. 12.
The victim suffered a possible broken nose, swelling to his forehead, a laceration to his face and several abrasions to his right arm.
Police are asking if any citizens that live in the area have security cameras to please check your video footage to see if you may have captured any passing cars or persons walking in that area at that time.
Furthermore, If anyone has any information regarding an assault and robbery they should contact Chief Johnson at (517) 369-9083 or Silent Observer. The owner of the Bronson Marathon is posting a $300 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this case.
