BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – After serving as the Mayor of Bronson for five years, Alicia Cole will be resigning from the Bronson City Council and as the city’s Mayor June 1, 2019 because she will be moving outside of Bronson.
Cole will still be living in the area.
Her resignation was accepted with regret by the City Council Monday night.
Cole became Mayor in January 2014 when her father Tom Rissman passed away.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says according to the city charter, the vacancy for Mayor has to be filled within 30 days once it becomes effective.
