QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Organizers have announced the schedule for the 57th annual Quincy Chain of Lakes Tip Up Festival which will be held on Saturday, February 9th.
They are hoping Mother Nature will provide them with some snow and ice which have been in short supply so far this winter.
Nearly a foot of snow fell last year on the day before the festival which provided a perfect setting for all of the activities.
Fishing contests, kids games, and wood cutting contests will be held throughout the day.
The 37th Annual Polar Bear Splash will be held at 12 noon. Those who are brave enough to jump into the chilly waters of Marble Lake can register at 11:00 a.m.
Krazy Katz will perform during the Fisherman’s Ball which will run from 8:00 p.m. until midnight. Tickets are $10. You must 21 to attend and it’s BYOB.
The Tip-Up Mayor for 2019 is Tom Lothamer while the Tip-Up Sheriff will be John Lothamer.
The Tip-Up Pageant will be held next Saturday, January 19th at the Tibbits Opera House starting at 1:00 p.m..
