COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Following the resignation of Ralph Kimble as Branch County Prosecutor, the open position has been posted on the Michigan Supreme Court’s website.
The position was posted last Wednesday, one day after Kimble’s resignation was effective.
Interested and qualified candidates were asked to submit their applications to the Branch County Circuit Court office for the position which pays over $97,000 a year.
Under state law, Circuit Court Judge Bill O’Grady will make the appointment to serve out the balance of Kimble’s term which expires at the end of 2020.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
The posting said any candidate for this position must understand that this office has only three attorneys including the Prosecutor.
