BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Classes for some Branch County youngsters start this week.
Students in the Union City Community School District will have their first day of classes on Wednesday.
The district has scheduled an online day for students for the first day. In person learning is set to start on Thursday.
Superintendent Ronna Steel said in a letter to parents the District has spent considerable time and resources preparing classrooms and common spaces for students to return in as safe of an environment as possible. She adds they plan to provide extra cleaning on Wednesday’s while offering virtual and project-based learning for all students.

Classes at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Coldwater and at St Mary’s Assumption Catholic School in Bronson begin on Monday.
Monday was originally scheduled to be the first day of classes for Coldwater, Bronson, Quincy, Pansophia Academy and Branch I.S.D. students. But officials decided to delay classes until September 8 saying more time was needed to get the required personal protective equipment and computers.
