SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Two handicapped persons escaped injury Saturday night when their specially equipped vehicle wound up in a pond near Oliverda and Arney Roads in Sherwood Township.
Michigan State Police say the vehicle was fully submerged following the accident which was reported just before 8:00 p.m..
Troopers say the driver informed them the equipment malfunctioned and that is how they wound up in the water.
The driver and a passenger were not injured.
Sherwood, Bronson and Tekonsha firefighters were all dispatched to the scene.
