QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Another basketball post season honor for Quincy’s Kyler Economou.
After having a spectacular senior season, Economou has been named to the Michigan Associated Press Division Three Boys Basketball Second Team.
He was among a group of seven players who received two or more votes from a panel of 11 sports writers from around the state to earn second team honors.
Economou averaged 21.4 points per game during the 2021 season for Quincy as he shot 50 percent from the floor for the 17 games the Orioles played.
He also grabbed 11.4 rebounds per contest and was named to the first team on the all Big 8 Conference squad.
Economou did not score in single digits all season and had two games in which he scored 30 or more points. He scored 31 points against Sand Creek on February 20 and poured in a season-high 39 points against eventual Big 8 Conference champion Homer on March 15.
