CHIKAMING TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Sheriff’s Department Volunteer Deputy Jackie Harris and her K-9 Xeina assisted in the search for a missing man in Berrien County who found alive earlier this week.
The South Bend Tribune reports 29-year-old Thomas Sexton was found in Illinois sometime either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning after he went missing on July 20 when he failed to show up for a family dinner near Sawyer.
Harris and Xeina joined police from several other southwest Michigan police agencies in the search which was conducted from the Indiana-Michigan border up to Benton Harbor.
Nearly 30 volunteers also joined in the search which involved drones, cars and boats.
