COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Police from several agencies were involved in a pursuit of a reported stolen vehicle that went through downtown Coldwater on Monday evening.
Branch County authorities got a report of the stolen vehicle out of Madison, Indiana at about 5:40 p.m..
About 15 minutes later, the City of Coldwater’s downtown camera caught a glimpse of the pursuit.
The driver of the stolen vehicle was seen squeezing through two other vehicles that were stopped for the traffic signal on the east side of the intersection of U.S. 12 and Marshall.
The pursuit involving the Branch County Sheriff’s Department, Coldwater Police and the Michigan State Police headed west through the downtown area.
It eventually went into the northern part of the county. The pursuit was broken off when police lost contact with the suspects vehicle as it was heading east on Herricksville Road at a high rate of speed.
