COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Marshall man with a criminal record that goes back almost two decades is heading back to prison after being sentenced in three cases Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
41-year-old Matthew Jon Tilot was ordered to serve between 83 months and 15 years on a charge of larceny over $20,000.
He was also given sentences of between two to five years for third degree home invasion and one to four years on a second larceny charge.
All other charges were dismissed by prosecutors as part of a plea agreement.
Tilot’s recent Branch County crimes include an attempt to sell wood from stolen trees and the theft of a gas can.
Tilot was released from prison in December 2017. His convictions going back to 2001 included breaking and entering, larceny and malicious destruction of property.
