UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – A major street resurfacing project is expected to start next week in the Village of Union City.
It’s being called one of the largest road projects in the village’s history as nearly a dozen streets will get extensive upgrades.
Work is scheduled to take place on the following streets and roads…
North Broadway Street (High to Calhoun)
Division Street (Walnut to City limits)
Charlotte St
Barry St
St Joseph St
Lee St
Walnut Lane
South St
Hammond St
Park St (north)
Ellen St
The street work is part of a busy summer of work in Union City. Drilling took place last week so that crews could put in a new 12 inch water main under the St. Joseph River. They had to bore a hole nearly 600 feet long and 30 feet deep for the water main.
