COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility and Rehabilitation announced on Sunday that they had a staff member test positive for COVID-19 and all visits to the facility are cancelled until further notice.
It was reported on their Facebook page that the employee has worked several days in the last week in different areas of the building.
Officials say the staff member was masked in all resident areas and followed all appropriate infection control practices and “we are hopeful that this is an isolated case.” The staff member will be re-tested to verify the result.
Maple Lawn is now required to test all of its residents starting this week.
It was reported that no residents have showed any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 and they will continue to be monitored as they have been.
